The plan:

This is a dream that I've had since I was about 16 years old. Its form was developing in my head for years until I finally decided to stop waiting for all the friends that would do it with me but instead were postponing and postponing until they would start their own families and all the plans are gone. I had to do this, or at least start it, before I have my own family too, so it is the highest time. So one day in 2002 I decided to start seriously planning this on my own. I'm writing this in 2005 and the first long leg of this journey is successfully behind me and I, more then ever now, want to eventually execute the whole plan, of which map is below. Only now it is becoming clear that I should start factoring the family in and plan long term. This means that instead of doing this all in one huge attempt I will have to plan shorter legs and execute them one by one before I'm too old to do it - say that I have time until I am 60 ;). One three-month leg every year or every other year sounds reasonable.

The following is the map of the original plan. Changes on the way or due to political situation in certain countries are inevitable but I intend to keep the general route and eventually "get there".

Australia, Asia, Europe and Africa
